Sligo Creek Golf Association members and supporters often help the course get ready to open by turning out for a spring cleaning event. Helpers include high school students seeking service credits, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts working on service projects, and course neighbors. The course sometimes thanks volunteers by providing refreshments.
